Job description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead renewable energy projects in Zimbabwe.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, ensuring the successful delivery of renewable energy projects from planning through to execution, in line with time, cost, quality, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage renewable energy projects from inception to completion
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including engineers, contractors, and consultants
- Oversee procurement, contract administration, and subcontractor performance
- Monitor project progress and ensure delivery within scope, time, and budget
- Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and health & safety standards
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities
- Identify and mitigate project risks and challenges
- Prepare and present project reports and updates
- Ensure successful project commissioning and handover
Requirements:
- B.Sc. Construction Management, or related
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in project management
- Proven experience in renewable energy projects (solar, wind, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, and cost control
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and contractors
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Project / Primavera advantageous)
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in Zimbabwe and manage site-based projects
