The organisation operates at the intersection of design intent and construction execution, providing site-based engineering and inspection services where structural integrity, safety, and compliance are critical. This role is focused on ensuring that prestressed concrete works are executed in accordance with approved designs, international standards, and project specifications.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, verification, and quality assurance of prestressed concrete elements, including tensioning operations, installation processes, and structural performance validation. The role requires strong technical understanding, attention to detail, and the ability to operate in fast-paced, high-pressure site environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Prestressed Concrete Inspection & Compliance
- Inspect prestressed concrete works including tensioning, anchoring, and installation activities
- Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project standards
- Monitor stressing operations and ensure correct application of prestress forces
- Ensure adherence to international codes such as ACI, BS, ASTM, or equivalent
Quality Assurance & Control
- Identify non-conformances, defects, and installation issues
- Recommend and monitor corrective actions to ensure compliance
- Support QA/QC processes across prestressed concrete works
- Ensure consistent quality control standards on site
Technical Oversight & Validation
- Review prestressing methods, procedures, and execution plans
- Validate installation processes against design requirements
- Provide technical input on prestressed concrete systems and performance
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate inspection records and reports
- Review Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality documentation
- Compile technical inspection reports and communicate findings to stakeholders
Site Coordination & Support
- Liaise with contractors, engineers, and project teams on site
- Provide technical guidance on prestressed concrete installation
- Support resolution of site-based engineering and quality issues
Safety & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with site safety requirements during inspection activities
- Identify risks related to prestressing operations and structural integrity
- Promote safe execution of high-risk construction activities
Minimum Requirements
- BEng / BSc Civil Engineering (Structural)
- Registered Professional Engineer (PrEng / PE) or equivalent international registration
- 3–5 years’ experience in prestressed concrete engineering or inspection
- Strong knowledge of prestressed concrete systems and methods
- Understanding of international codes (ACI, BS, ASTM or equivalent)
- Ability to interpret structural drawings and prestressing details
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills
- Proven site experience in high-pressure construction environments
