Systems Lead .

A leading property services and asset management organisation specialising in commercial and industrial portfolios is seeking to appoint a Technology & Systems Lead.

The business is focused on driving performance and long-term value through data-driven decision-making, efficient systems, and continuous operational improvement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, optimising, and overseeing the organisation’s full technology and systems environment, ensuring alignment with operational and strategic objectives while enabling scalable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Systems & Solutions Architecture:

• Translate operational requirements into scalable system solutions
• Design and maintain an integrated technology ecosystem
• Identify inefficiencies and implement system/process improvements
• Ensure systems support long-term business scalability

2. Data & Database Management:

• Oversee database structure, integrity, and consolidation
• Ensure accurate and accessible data across platforms
• Manage data flows between CRM, finance, and operational systems
• Develop and optimise SQL queries for reporting and insights

3. Platform Oversight (Property / Operational Systems):

• Provide strategic oversight of systems such as MRI Software / MDA
• Identify inefficiencies and optimisation opportunities
• Liaise with system vendors and internal stakeholders

4. AI & Automation:

• Identify and implement automation opportunities across the business
• Introduce AI tools to improve efficiency and decision-making
• Reduce manual processes and improve scalability

5. Development Oversight:

• Oversee development of internal tools, portals, and integrations
• Manage internal and/or outsourced development teams
• Ensure best practice in architecture, scalability, and security
• Provide oversight of front-end and back-end development (non-hands-on)

6. Reporting & Insights;

• Build and improve reporting frameworks and dashboards
• Enable real-time visibility of business performance
• Support leadership with data-driven insights

7. Vendor & Project Management:

• Manage external developers, vendors, and consultants
• Drive delivery timelines, scope, and accountability
• Ensure cost-effective implementation of solutions

Minimum Requirements:

• 8–10 years’ experience in systems, technology, or solutions architecture roles
• Strong ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Solid understanding of:
  • Databases and data structures (SQL required)
  • Systems integration and APIs
  • Software development principles
  • Automation tools and AI applications
• Experience overseeing developers or technical teams
• Strong project management and execution capability
• Ability to review and understand code (non-developer oversight level)
