Job description
A leading construction firm is seeking experienced Contracts Managers to oversee multiple projects across commercial, residential, and industrial sectors. This is a senior execution role based in Cape Town, offering the opportunity to lead full project lifecycles from inception to handover in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.
Minimum Requirements:
• B.Sc. Construction Management or related qualification
• Minimum 10 years' experience in construction project management
• Proven track record managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong understanding of contracts, cost control, and project delivery
• Experience across commercial, residential, or industrial construction
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Proficiency in MS Office; CCS, Candy, or MS Project advantageous
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage multiple construction projects from inception to completion
• Administer and manage contracts in accordance with project requirements
• Monitor project budgets, cost control, and financial performance
• Lead and manage project teams including Site Agents, Engineers, and Foremen
• Ensure on-time, in-scope project delivery
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders
• Manage procurement processes and subcontractor agreements
• Identify and mitigate project risks and contractual issues
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Prepare and present project reports and progress updates
