About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join our consulting team. The role involves managing cost control, procurement, and contract administration across a diverse portfolio of commercial, retail, industrial, and residential projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, commercially minded, and able to support project teams from inception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate quantity measurements and cost estimates for construction projects
- Monitor and manage project budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness
- Review and certify subcontractor invoices and claims for payment
- Assist project teams with procurement and material management
- Track project costs, maintain financial records, and prepare cost reports
- Ensure compliance with contracts, regulations, and industry standards
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project success
- Support project planning, scheduling, and site coordination
Requirements:
- B.Sc. Quantity Surveying (Honors) or related qualification
- 3-5 years relevant experience in quantity surveying across multiple property sectors
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Attention to detail with the ability to work under tight deadlines
- Knowledge of contract law and construction industry standards
