Job description
A well-established listed property investment organisation is seeking to appoint a Leasing Manager to manage and drive leasing performance across a diversified portfolio of retail, commercial, and industrial assets.
The organisation owns and actively manages a large-scale income-generating property portfolio with a strong focus on occupancy optimisation, tenant retention, and sustainable rental growth. As part of a listed REIT structure, the leasing function plays a critical role in protecting and enhancing portfolio income and long-term asset value.
This is a commercially focused role responsible for executing leasing strategies across multiple properties, managing key tenant relationships, and ensuring optimal portfolio performance in line with investment objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Leasing Strategy & Portfolio Execution:
- Drive leasing activity across a defined property portfolio
- Negotiate and conclude lease agreements with new and existing tenants
- Manage renewals, re-gears, and expansions to optimise occupancy and income stability
- Implement leasing strategies aligned to asset plans and portfolio objectives
Tenant & Stakeholder Management:
- Manage relationships with national, regional, and independent tenants
- Engage with brokers, internal asset managers, and external stakeholders
- Ensure strong tenant retention and minimise vacancy across the portfolio
- Resolve leasing-related queries and negotiations effectively
Financial & Deal Management:
- Assess lease transactions against budget, yield targets, and portfolio strategy
- Evaluate tenant financial viability and deal sustainability
- Work closely with asset management and finance teams on deal structuring
- Ensure leasing decisions support long-term portfolio performance
Portfolio Performance:
- Support tenant mix optimisation and vacancy reduction initiatives
- Monitor leasing pipelines and provide regular portfolio performance reporting
- Identify opportunities for rental growth and asset enhancement
- Support leasing campaigns and strategic initiatives where required
Minimum Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience in commercial, retail, or industrial leasing
- Strong track record of negotiating and concluding lease transactions
- Experience within a property investment or REIT environment advantageous
- Strong understanding of lease structures, escalations, and investment fundamentals
- Strong commercial acumen and financial literacy
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple assets and deadlines simultaneously
- Relevant qualification in Property, Business, or related field
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel between properties
