Job description

A leading civil construction contractor is seeking to appoint an experienced Civil Foreman to support site operations within its earthworks division.

The organisation delivers large-scale infrastructure and civil engineering projects, with a strong focus on efficient production, safety compliance, and high-quality execution of earthworks activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising daily site operations, managing teams, and ensuring that all earthworks activities are executed according to programme, specification, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily civil earthworks activities on site
  • Manage labour teams, operators, and subcontractors
  • Ensure correct execution of bulk earthworks operations (cut, fill, compaction)
  • Monitor levels, compaction quality, and production output
  • Coordinate plant usage and site logistics
  • Support Site Agent with planning and execution of works
  • Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental compliance
  • Report daily progress and site constraints
  • Ensure efficient use of resources, materials, and equipment
  • Maintain accurate site records and measurements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Foreman in civil earthworks projects
  • Strong experience in bulk earthworks and infrastructure construction
  • Knowledge of earthworks construction methods and site operations
  • Experience in large-scale infrastructure or dam-related works advantageous
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong leadership and team supervision skills
  • Good communication and organisational ability
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver’s licence
